Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Call

Individual fellowships

14JUNE 2021
Call for projects

Deadline for pre-proposal: June 15th 2021 (16h, Madrid time)

Casa de Velázquez and the Madrid Institute for Advanced Study already welcome two Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships researchers, Nicolas Simon (FNRS-Université Louvain-La Neuve), since 2019 and Margarida Barroso (ISCTE-IUL), since 2020.

Within the framework of the MSCA Individual Fellowships call for applications, Casa de Velázquez once again is willing to receive one or more experienced researchers for a year or two in the areas of Humanities or Social Sciences.

Candidates will not only have to comply with the formal requirements of the Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions, but must also align their research with Casa de Velázquez’s scientific policy, focused on the Iberian Peninsula, Maghreb and Latin America (for the colonial and contemporary periods). For more information, please visit our website.

Projects must therefore fall into the research areas of Humanities or Social Sciences.

As this is an international mobility grant, and taking into account the requirements of the MSCA programme, the applicants must comply with the MSCA mobility rule: “Researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of their host organisation [i. e. Spain ] for more than twelve months in the three years immediately before the reference date [i.e last call dead-line MSCA IF]”.

Selected applicants can also benefit from the scientific environment of the Madrid Institute for Advanced Study and of its wide international cooperation network (NetIAS, UBIAS, etc.); as well as collaborate with its fellows as associated researchers. For more information on the MIAS: https://www.madrid-ias.eu/who-we-are/presentation/

To apply, candidates must submit a scientific pre-proposal that will be subject to an internal evaluation by 15 June 2021 (16h, Madrid time).

This scientific pre-proposal consists in:

  • A presentation of the scientific project (up to 5 pages or approx. 3000 words, in French, English or Spanish)
  • An up-to-date CV (up to 5 pages in French, English or Spanish)

Both documents must be sent in a single e-mail to the address ehehi@casadevelazquez.org.

From June 30th 2021, the selected projects will benefit from the scientific and technical support of the Platform for the setting-up of European Projects of Casa de Velázquez and the Madrid Institute for Advanced Study.

Casa de Velázquez offers to host researchers under the conditions defined by its internal regulations
